In this training you will learn which communication skills and interview techniques make the difference in contact with your client. In order to add value for the client with your advice, it is essential to be able to conduct an intake interview properly.

In this training you will gain insight into the different phases of the intake interview. You train the skills to strengthen the relationship with the client as well as to visualize the question in a good and structured way, with which you lay a good foundation to give distinctive advice.

Learning goals

After the training you will be able to:

  • Conduct a structured and phased intake interview
  • Apply essential skills and techniques to strengthen the relationship with the client.
  • Identify the client’s question in a structured way.
  • Communicate the added value of your advice.

Target audience

This course is designed for junior / medior data professionals and no specific prior knowledge is required.

Program

The following topics are part of the program:

  • Stages in the intake interview; the 4A model
  • Relationship-building skills – making contact
  • Conversation structure: head – torso – tail
  • Needs analysis – question funnel
  • Active listening; LSD – non-verbal skills – IPR
  • Being able to make the value of your advice clear; B-K-V-B method
  • Difficult conversation situations
  • Focus on your personal learning objective

The training has a high “do” content. Practicing – simulating and applying covers 80% of the training time.

At the end of the training, you will be able to conduct interviews more naturally and you will have a good idea of your strengths and points for attention in conducting (intake) interviews.

Day 1 – Topics:

Conversation opening – keeping direction – structuring conversation; setting agenda – giving influence – active listening (verbal and non verbal) – intake interview: the analysis phase.

Day 2 – Topics

Workshop 1: (actor): difficult situations (and participant’s own input) – IPR Workshop 2: intake interview; creating value; making a difference – interest in results

Preparation

  • Before the first day, you have an intake by phone with the trainer where you can determine your specific learning goals.
  • In addition, you use the learning portal to process the content on the topics that will be discussed on the training day.
  • And you carry out several application assignments in your practice before each training day. (learning on the job).

Each training day requires a preparation time of approximately 1.5 hours.

Date

Training will take place on an open enrollment basis. Date will be determined in consultation.

Location

The training will take place in at our office in Bunnik, unless communicated otherwise. We will then switch to an online training in a Teams environment, adapting the training to the channel. Think of enough exercises and breaks in between so that this is also easy to follow online.

Our office is located at Kosterijland 40 in Bunnik.

Cost

The cost for this training is €1500 (excluding VAT) per participant, which includes access to the online portal and lunch on site.

Payment

A cost center must be entered when signing up, after which we will send an invoice.
