No, this article is not intended as an attempt at greenwashing, nor is it intended as a sales pitch. Yet we think it is very important to share how we try to make a positive contribution to the world around us, but also to share in which areas we can really improve.
In this article we will take you through how making a positive impact on society has grown into one of our core values and how we (want to) make an even more positive impact in the coming years based on a concrete and measurable corporate social responsibility policy. .

The idea of pursuing social objectives in addition to our commercial objectives is not new…

For example, two fanatical Cmotions colleagues started the Who Cares initiative about eight years ago. In the following years, this initiative grew into a household name within the organization, to which many colleagues contributed. Internally, the name Who Cares has now almost become redundant. Wanting to make a positive impact increasingly flows through the veins of Cmotions.

A selection of Who Cares’ initiatives over the years:

  • Many guest lessons in collaboration with language school IMC and later also in collaboration with Microsoft;
  • Theme days and weeks to inform, motivate and activate colleagues to deliver a valuable impact;
  • Let’s all roll up our sleeves for a cleaner world;
  • Inspiring (guest speaking) sessions;
  • Informative blogs on our intranet on topics that are close to our hearts.

2023+

We not only look outside, but also want to look critically at ourselves. For this reason and to maximize the positive impact in the future, our CSR policy has been professionalized in 2022. In collaboration with De Duurzaam Adviseurs, we carried out a baseline measurement in 2022 to assess our CSR performance. From this starting point, in combination with our knowledge and experience, we have determined two categories on which we will focus in the coming years: Positive Climate Impact and Equality of Opportunity. Within these two categories, six project teams are working on concrete focus themes to which we want to contribute both internally and externally.

Focus areas

By the end of 2023, there will be a common definition of “equality of opportunity” within Cmotions, what equality of opportunity should include within the organization and how it should be evaluated annually.

In 2025 we will teach 200 corrected hours to, or for the benefit of, vulnerable groups.

As of January 1, 2026, Cmotions aims for climate-neutral purchasing to increase awareness through the circular use of non-degradable products for the climate.

As of January 1, 2026, Cmotions will not have any lease cars running on fossil fuel, provided that the transition must contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and does not weaken employee satisfaction with the fleet.

In 2030, Cmotions will be located in a climate-neutral office building.

Analytics for a Better World

In line with our CSR policy, something great has emerged in the past year, something that we are very proud of, have already invested many hours in and with which we have been able to make a concrete impact, is the partnership with Analytics for a Better World.

Together with Analytics for a Better World, we also make the benefits of data available to NGOs. A new article will follow soon about this.
