On Friday, March 10, the second “The Analytics Lab Hackathon” took place, this time the assignment was to predict the seat distribution of the House of Representatives after the March 15 elections.

Thanks to the serious, sporty and also humorous efforts of our participating teams, it was again a very fun day, where everyone wanted to win, but it was mainly about participating. We would like to thank all participants for their presence and contribution to this fun day!

After the preliminary results of the elections were announced Thursday morning, we were able to declare the ANWB team as the winner, closely followed by the Essent – Women For Data team. ANWB was able to walk away with the prize by achieving an RMSE (root mean square error) of only 5.29.
As for us: on to next year, on to the next hackathon!
